DVD-ROM versus DVD-Video

A DVD-ROM is a data disc that only plays on a computer (Mac or Windows PC), not on a TV or regular stand alone DVD player. A DVD-Video plays on regular DVD players as well as computers. DVD-ROM offers the benefit of the QuickTime slider that allows you to easily and quickly navigate around each movie, going from one point to another in seconds. This is generally more convenient that fast forwarding or reversing in a regukar DVD player. DVD-ROM can play at higher resolution (in this case 800 x 600 pixels) than a DVD-Video (720 x 480 pixels), and gives better reproduction of details near the edge of the screen. This DVD set is a DVD-ROM.

Jeremy...the book is incredibly AWESOME in information, clearness of delivery of the info and the design is beautiful! You even include so much info for us teaching Painter to make us better teachers of the medium.
This is an achievement worth waiting for and you can be sure I will be selling it's glories to anyone that wants to truly learn Painter!!

"I am enjoying my copy of Painter 8 Creativity (I think I was probably the first person in Australia to buy it!). I appreciate the way in which you value the creative process with as much importance as the final article. As a professional teacher / illustrator I wholeheartedly agree with this approach. I encourage my students not to cram formulas but to search for ways to solve each problem as it presents itself. Each section of your book is in itself a springboard into an array of new experimentations.

"Hello Jeremy,
I just bought a copy of Painter 8 Creativity and I am in heaven. As a published author myself I applaud your excellent work! As a reawakening artist I am stirred and deeply inspired. Thank you!
Your book made my day! Maybe the rest of my life, in fact.
Sincerely,
Patricia"
