Pain & Passion: Part of a series of four portraits of painters (the others being Frida Kahlo , Salvador Dali and Andy Warhol ). created as part of an article in the National Association of Desktop Publishers Journal reviewing different paint programs. This portrait includes two copies of Picasso paintings (painted freehand, not scanned) which were cloned together to form the background for the portrait. the two Picasso paintings are: "The Dream", 1932, 51" x 38", and The artwork was created freehand directly on a Macintosh IIfx (20/160), using a Wacom graphics tablet & pressure sensitive stylus, and Fractal Design Painter software. |
